The Grassroot Project Board announces Marie Rudolph’s departure as Executive Director, effective September 30, 2017. We are incredibly grateful for her service to the organization and the D.C. community. During her tenure, Marie worked to advance the mission and vision of The Grassroot Project and expanded diversity among university student-athletes mentors delivering our sexual health curriculum in D.C. middle schools.
Under her leadership, The Grassroot Project achieved operational efficiencies, increased awareness around the organization’s important work, and helped position our organization for continued success and sustainability. Her efforts led to the development of the first-ever Grassroot Project iPhone app and the development of a social media policy to guide university student-athletes in their online interaction with middle school students receiving Grassroots programming.
Marie also led efforts that resulted in The Grassroot Project recently being named the 2018 beneficiary of Hexagon, Inc’s charity partnership and being selected to Stone Soup Films’ fall cohort of non-profits.
Over the next few months, we will be conducting a search to find a new Executive Director. During this transition period, Tyler Spencer, Founder of the Grassroot Project, will step in to serve as Interim Executive Director. It is our priority to find the best individual to lead, while still maintaining a stable and effective organization, and we will share news of whom we have selected as soon as possible.
Please join us in thanking Marie for all of her work and support to drive The Grassroot Project’s mission forward and wishing her the best in her next endeavor.
