Ebony McKeever is from San Francisco, California. She is a senior at Georgetown University majoring in psychology and sociology. Ebony is a sprinter on Georgetown’s track and field team, where she first became introduced to The Grassroots Project by a fellow teammate. After her first training session, Ebony became invested in the idea of a student-athlete run organization for the purpose of uplifting and educating youth on an issue that has a large impact in their community. This experience has influenced her to become more interested in education systems and the effects that low income communities exert on the potential of resident youth. Also known as “Elbow,” Ebony’s ultimate career goals involve improving the lives’ of youth in lower income communities by providing quality education and opportunities.
