Richard Figueroa is a research assistant for Race and Ethnicity Policy at the Center for American Progress. He previously worked as a special assistant on the Government Affairs team at CAP. Prior to joining American Progress, he interned at Ecologic Institute US, where he focused on strengthening relations between German and American policymakers on issues pertaining to the environment. Figueroa received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and German from Amherst College.
